As an entrepreneur Sukanta started his career working for large multi-billion dollar businesses building software and then businesses building and selling software product that changed the market perspective in data/network security, identity management, multi-media networking, etc. He is an angle investor and has gotten back to his roots on entrepreneurship working on innovative technology an forming startup companies that challenge the ways business gets done via improvements driven by innovation in technology as well as business model. He has worked in building businesses in North America, Japan, China, Taiwan, India and Western European countries. His startups have exited in Japan and North America. He founded three startups in the past and angel invested in more than seven over the last nine years. He has run businesses in larger companies that generated over $500M in annual revenue. Academically he has a doctorate in engineering as well as an MBA in Finance. Sukanta focuses in the areas consumer networking, e-commerce, social commerce and mobile networking solutions. His like to concentrate on solutions that take technologies developed/generated/evolved within the consumer arena and address SME businesses.
